Coping with COVID-19: Daily Mental Health Tip: Gimme a break!

Give yourself a break.

As April has bled into May, I have been seeing more and more people treating themselves with less and less kindness. 

Regardless of how this pandemic is affecting you, it is affecting you. It is affecting all of us in one way or another. If you are not using this pause to learn a new language, write the great American novel, or potty train your pet ferret, that’s okay (unless your ferret is really stinking up your house, in which case you should probably deal with that). Sometimes it’s just about getting through. And getting through is enough. So, if it comes to pass that you find yourself being hard on yourself please remember to give yourself a break.
