Mission, Vision, Values Retreat

The Challenge

A law firm’s business had grown very quickly over the course of the pandemic. The firm had added many new external partners who were dispersed across the country and working remotely. The firm recognized the need to revisit their mission, vision and values to decide how to grow while maintaining the positive aspects of their culture and meeting their client’s needs.

The Approach

We began by “baselining” the firm’s existing mission, vision and values and conducting interviews to understand where there was alignment across the partnership and what needed to change. We then created a 3 day retreat program with half of the days spent “in session” working on these topics and the remainder of the day focused on intentional team building exercises and activities. The content followed a “What”, “Where” and “How” framework that guided the group toward alignment on where the company was now, where it wanted to be, and how it would get there.

The Results

Coming out of the 3 day retreat, the partners had a new mission and vision statement, a set of codified values upon which to build their people processes around, and a stronger connection with one another.
